Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps
The Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps’ (AFROTC) mission is to develop Air and Space Force leaders of character whom we expect to fight and win our Nation’s wars. AFROTC is a military training program designed to give well-qualified men and women the opportunity to train for leadership positions as officers in the Air Force while completing a college degree.
Students who join the Air Force ROTC Detachment 205 at SIU will have the opportunity to experience a normal college life, while preparing for a future as an Air Force officer.
